Owner of CLASS of West K
Donna Toy- CCPCP
I have been involved in education and childcare since my oldest daughter was born over 18 years ago. I started teaching preschool in the UK before moving to Canada in 2006. Over the years my studies have drawn me to supporting kids with Autism, ADHD and other related disorders. My interest and experience led me to become a senior behavior interventionist with a well known service provider in Kelowna and more recently I studied for a Diploma of Applied Psychology & Counselling and I am now a Registered Professional Counsellor.
I am very excited about opening CLASS of West K, I feel our variety of services will appeal to many families in West Kelowna and the surrounding areas because we openly welcome parents to participate in our programs which is quite unique.
I will be involved primarily in the Distance Learning Area, where we will be offering support services to children with autism and other disorders. I find increasingly that children with autism are not reaching their potential in traditional schools where there is a lack of specialized support, our goal at Class of West K is to support not just the 75% but all children.
