COWK/West K NewsNew 2 to 3 years Tweenie Class opens March 9th 2026.
CLASS of West K is opening a new "Tweenie Room" on March 9th. This new room not only opens up 12 new spots for kiddos aged 2 to 3 years of age, but also opens up spots in our existing 12 months to 3 year class for kiddos 12 to 24 months. As you all probably know a 30 month to Kinde class only allows a maximum of 2 kiddos under the age of 36 months per class. This means kiddos having to wait in the IT room (with potentially a lot younger kids) until those kiddos in the group care program become 36 months of age. That is where the "Tweenie" room comes in. Your child can move up to a class with similar aged kiddos until a spot opens up in our 30 month to Kinde class. We are part of the CCFRI and also accept ACCB. Class of West K is excited to introduce a new Rainbow social and Learning class for those kiddos on the spectrum. It will run from 9am to 1130am Tuesday and Thursday mornings to start. The ratio will operate on a 3 to 1 educator/BI basis and your MCFD funding can be used towards this. This program is offered by our sister company West K counselling and behaviour services. We work with a school of your choice to support your child in our low teacher to student ratio learning environment. Group Care programs
Our Group Care Program accepts children from 12 months to 5 years of age. We currently have spots available in our 30 months to Kinde classes. Act soon to secure yours! We have changed our hours to better suit our communities needs. Our two 30 month to Kinde classes are now open from 0745 to 1700 each day. Our programs are educational and fun, we have music and yoga classes as well as regular academic learning to give your kiddos a head start for entry into Kindergarten. We also offer 4.5 hour pre kindergarten classes that run from 8am to 1230 pm Monday to Friday. This is offered as a two day Tuesday/Thursday, 3 day Monday/Wednesday/Friday or a 5 day Monday to Friday week.
