Distance Learning (Home School) Support Services

All grades.

At Class of West K we recognize that not all children are able to cope in the traditional classroom setting where large class sizes and low one on one instruction time impact the student's learning abilities.

Our vision is to make education an enjoyable journey where we tailor our day around the student, providing them with learning and enrichment.

We will work in collaboration with your chosen Distance Learning (Home Schooling) Association in order to provide a structured, academic and social learning environment.

Our low class ratios (1:1) allows us to spend more time attending to our students' needs to help them meet their academic and social potential.

We work collaboratively with other professionals including Speech and Language Pathologists and Occupational Therapists to formulate your child's Individual Education Plan (IEP) Our trained staff will support your child in order to help them reach their academic goals.

We actively welcome parent participation at our center, where we will provide you with resources to help you continue your child's learning journey at home.

Behavior Intervention

From 2 years of age and up.

Children may have maladaptive behaviors that can increase over time without professional support.

We will work collaboratively with your family and other professionals such as Speech and Language Pathologists and Occupational Therapists to build an Individual Behavior Plan that will be followed by our trained behavior interventionists.

Behavior Intervention is based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), our trained staff will support your child in order to help them reach their behavioral, communication, emotional and social goals.

Behavior Intervention sessions can be held at our center, in your home or at various settings throughout the community, this includes preschools, day cares or community run programs.

In Home Parent Support

All grades.

We believe that for a child to be successful in our Behavior Intervention program, we need to support them across all settings and parents are instrumental in making a difference to their child's behavior.

In conjunction with our Behavior Intervention Program, we will work with you in your home to teach you how to implement your child's Individual Behavior Plan.

You are invited to shadow our Behavior Interventionists during your child's sessions and receive professional support to help you deal with maladaptive behaviors in your home or in the community.

After School BI Sessions
CLASS is now pleased to offer after school Behaviour Intervention sessions.
We can collect children from George Pringle and Our Lady of Lourdes Schools.
The after school sessions can take place at our centre, at your chosen daycare or even at various after school activities in the community. The individual one on one sessions are tailored to meet your child’s needs. We will work on behaviours, social interactions and teaching life skills.

 Family Counseling

Counselling does not have to be expensive, child rates start from $45 an hour (ages 12 and under) and adults start at $70 per hour. Your health benefits insurance may pay for all or a portion of the hourly fees. And, if you have MCFD funding, you can use a portion of that for all types of counselling.
